Diamondback Revenge, by Cindy Keen Reynders
It’s a sweltering Wyoming summer and the typically clear blue skies are clogged with smoke drifting from encroaching wildfires. Life goes on, however, and private investigator Reese Golden remains dedicated to resolving crimes in her hometown of Meadowlark Valley.
Currently, she seeks a local shop owner’s stolen rattlesnake taxidermy display. During her investigation, fraught with twists and turns, she exposes intrigue involving local artist Bella Northwood’s drowning, and the brutal assault of the shop owner, who happens to be Bella’s father.
Danger complicates Reese’s objectives as she and Police detective Jeremy Savage team up to retrieve the stolen display and to document the events leading up to Bella’s accident.
Nothing is as it seems, nevertheless, Reese is determined to uncover the facts. It is important to her to see that justice is served, and she refuses to allow any guilty parties to go free.
After interviewing residents and availing herself of local resources, Reese’s intuition kicks in, which leads her one of Wyoming’s wilderness areas with its panoramic mountain views.
